As of today, Chivenor is officially to upgrade to squadron status, now under the name of 722 Squadron. The news, originally revealed on 24th June, was finally confirmed on Thursday 22nd July. Planning is now beginning for the official presentation ceremony in which 722 will be officially re-formed. The ceremony should take a similar form to the Open Day held on the 16th May, with a parade for the presentation ceremony and inspection, followed by demonstrations of some of the activities we operate at Chivenor.
