Chivenor was one of the many squadrons that took part in the 2nd Annual Devon & Somerset Wing Activity Day today. The Activity Day has taken the place of many of the Wing's previous events by holding most of the Inter-Wing competitions on the same day.
Events held include the Annual drill competition, aircraft recognition competition, aircraft modelling, diorama modelling, artwork, photography, and first aid. This is all backed up with numerous sports, swimming, and other quizzes and competitions.
722 Squadron had a very successful entry this year, with 23 cadets taking part over the various activities. Notable achievements were 3rd place in the drill competition, Cpl Cann winning the under 16 aircraft modelling competition, and Cdt Millington winning the Digital Print category. Overall, Chivenor came 3rd on the day, with 200 Sqn and 200 DF taking 1st and 2nd respectively.
The Squadron will now start making plans to try to improve on this performance next year.
