Tonight, the whole of 1146 Squadron sent representives to HQ (Barnstaple) for the visitation and inspection by Wng/Cdr Wills-Pope RAFVR(T). Chivenor sent 10 cadets as representatives, along with former CO, Mr. Newman, and AWO Furneaux as staff supervisors. After an inspection of the squadron by the Wing Commander, several Squadron presentations were made.
Chivenor won the trophies for Best Flight and for Flight obtaining best sporting achievement, with both trophies collected on behalf of the flight by CWO Hoole. Also, Cdt Cpl Green of Chivenor DF shared the award for Best 1st Class Cadet with Cdt Creek of Barnstaple Sqn. Each will keep the trophy for six months.
